Guidelines

Press, publishers and partners

For journalists, publishers, partners, sponsors, speakers and anyone putting ClimbUK next to their own name. Words follow the Voice section.

Naming

  • ClimbUK is the brand and the festival. Climb27 is this year's edition (Climb26 was last year's). ClimbGroup is the company name, for legal lines and contracts; do not explain how it relates to ClimbUK in your copy.
  • Never "Climb" on its own, never "Climb UK" with a space, never "CLIMBUK" in body text. Uppercase is a display style for headlines, not a spelling.
  • The descriptor is "the festival for business growth". As a tagline, capitalise it: "The Festival for Business Growth".
  • Dates: 30 June and 1 July 2027.
  • Programme names: Investor Speed Networking, Busk Your Business, the ClimbAwards, ClimbHealth, the ClimbGroup Event App.

Boilerplate

Use as written. Shorten only by cutting whole sentences.

Short (about 50 words)

ClimbUK is the festival for business growth. It brings founders, investors, advisers, universities and councils together for two days of main stage moments, close conversations and after parties, so growing businesses meet the people who can help them grow. Climb27 takes place on 30 June and 1 July 2027.

Long (about 100 words)

ClimbUK is the festival for business growth: two days where founders, investors, advisers, universities and councils meet, learn and do business together. It grew out of events for founders and investors that have run since 2016, and it is built around what growing businesses need next: the right introductions, honest advice and a stage for their story. The festival mixes main stage moments with roundtables, Investor Speed Networking, the ClimbHealth stage, the ClimbAwards and the after parties. Climb27 takes place on 30 June and 1 July 2027.

Logos for press and publishers

  • Download the masters from the media kit, never from a search engine. SVG for print and web, PNG at 2048px for anything that cannot take SVG.
  • Reversed (White and Climb Orange) on dark or photo backgrounds, full colour on white, mono when the publication prints in one colour.
  • Clear space is the height of the large "C" in Climb on every side, around the whole logo. Minimum width 120px on screen, 30mm in print.
  • Do not recolour, outline, stretch, add a shadow, or set the logo on a busy part of a photo.

Photos and video for press

  • Use photos from the ClimbUK media library with the credit line given there ("Photo: ClimbUK" unless a photographer is named).
  • Crop freely, but do not alter what happened or who was there. No filters that change the colours of the brand.
  • Video clips may be cut for length with the source credited. Do not re-caption speakers.

Quotes and figures

  • Quotes come from named, real people who agreed to them. ClimbUK supplies spokesperson quotes on request.
  • Use only the figures ClimbUK publishes for an edition, and cite them to that edition ("at Climb26"). Do not project or round them up.

Co-branding with partners

  • Lockup: the partner logo and the ClimbUK logo side by side at equal optical height, separated by a 1px rule in the ground's quiet line colour, with clear space of the "C" height between each logo and the rule. ClimbUK sits on the right on partner-led pieces and on the left on ClimbUK-led pieces.
  • Lines partners may use: "In partnership with ClimbUK", "Official partner of Climb27", "Headline partner of Climb27" (headline partners only), "Speaking at Climb27", "Exhibiting at Climb27".
  • On ClimbUK pieces, partner logos appear in one tone (White on dark, Charcoal or grey on light) so no brand shouts over another; headline partners may appear in full colour in their own slot.
  • Never: merge the logos into one mark, put ClimbUK colours on a partner logo, imply ClimbUK endorses a product, or promise attendees anything ClimbUK has not.
  • Partners sell their presence with "meetings with the right people", never a number of meetings, a percentage or an audience size.

The share kit

Every partner, speaker and exhibitor gets a share kit:

  • LinkedIn personal banner ("See you there") and post graphics in the three concepts, with space for their name or logo.
  • Story and square versions for Instagram.
  • The email signature button and footer line (see Email signatures).
  • Suggested post copy in the ClimbUK voice (see Voice), ready to edit in their own words.
  • A short how-to: tag ClimbUK and use the dates.

  1. Both boilerplates and the one line.
  2. Logo masters: ClimbUK, ClimbGroup and Climb27 in every variant (SVG and PNG).
  3. A selection of 20 approved photos from the last edition with credits.
