Investor Speed Networking: advice first, pitch later
Ninety minutes across the table from at least ten investors who back your sector. Five to ten minutes with each, no deck, in a room matched to your company by Investor Ladder.
Add the round to any Climb27 ticket. Your place in a session is confirmed once your sign-up form is in.

The right room, not the loudest.
Investor Ladder reads your sign-up form and places you in the session whose investors back your sector and stage, rather than the one you picked on a hunch.
Advice you can act on.
Every investor opens with what they look for. Then you ask: the terms, the traction gap, the board. No deck allowed, so the conversation is about the company, not the slides.
A relationship that starts in the room.
You leave with names, notes and the open networking at the end to deepen the ones that clicked. Request the rest in the app.
Three things you need
What a founder raising needs
01
Investors who back your sector
A generalist investor needs the whole market explained. The right one asks about your numbers.
Sessions are grouped by sector and stage, and Investor Ladder places each founder from their sign-up form, so the investors at your table already back companies like yours.
- At least ten investors per session, more in the sectors in demand
- Placed by Investor Ladder from your sign-up form, not a drop-down
- Angels, funds and lenders, from first cheque upwards

02
Advice before the pitch
A pitch gets a yes or a no. A conversation gets you the reasons.
Ninety minutes. Investors open with a two-minute reverse pitch on what they look for, then rotate through three timed rounds, five to ten minutes with each founder. Group questions and open networking close it. No deck allowed.
- A two-minute reverse pitch from every investor in the room
- Three timed rounds, five to ten minutes with each investor
- Group questions and open networking to close
03
Time that counts
Two days, and one chance to sit across from the people who decide.
The round runs on both days, with day two the busier of the two. Pick your day when you add it to your ticket, and the app tells you the room and the table.
- Ninety minutes, on day one or day two
- Your room and table in the ClimbGroup Event App
- Three in four people who come leave with follow-ups that matter: a sale, a partnership, an investment or funding.

Add it to your ticket
The round sits on top of any Climb27 ticket. Release pricing: the ticket price rises as the allocation sells.
Who's in the room
The round draws the funding side of the Climb27 room.
Investors
- What they bring
- an appetite for real deal flow and portfolio experience. They attend to meet companies, not to speak.
- What they want
- companies already trading, founders they can build a relationship with, and co-investors.
Founders of scaling companies
- What they bring
- a year of lessons from the same problems you have, learned the expensive way.
- What they want
- peers to trade notes with, suppliers, hires and the odd co-founder.
Investor Ladder
- What they bring
- the team that runs the round: the matching, the format and the room.
- What they want
- founders who come with real questions and investors who answer them.
Lenders and growth funds
- What they bring
- debt and growth capital for companies past the first cheque.
- What they want
- companies with revenue and a plan for the next stage.
Incubators and accelerators
- What they bring
- a cohort of founders, demo-day energy and a funder to report to.
- What they want
- investors, buyers and partners for their founders, and other programmes to work with.

The session

4
After
Every investor you met is in the ClimbGroup Event App. Request the follow-up before you leave the building; they accept or decline.
Business with a party. Not a party for business.
The festival aspect came second. ClimbUK grew out of the Investor Ladder events that have run since 2016, where founders and investors met because they had business to do. We are one of the first business festivals in the UK, built around that: the deals, the introductions and the advice come first, and the opening performance, the ClimbAwards, the drinks receptions and the after parties exist because business gets done faster between people who have enjoyed each other's company.
Busk Your Business
Pitch your company to the floor with a microphone and a crowd. Loud, fast and memorable.
Roundtables and workshops
Curated rooms of ten to twenty people with the same problem, led by someone who has solved it.
After parties
Day two wraps up with the after parties, where the deals of the day get agreed, and an unmissable Climb27 experience in the evening. Details to be announced soon.
Still on the fence?
Yes. The add-on sits on top of any Climb27 ticket: standard two-day, one-day or VIP.
No. Bring your questions and your numbers, not a deck. Investors open with what they look for; you use your minutes to ask what you need to know.
From the sign-up form that follows your purchase. Investor Ladder reads every form and places you with the investors who back your sector and stage, so the room fits the company rather than the box you ticked.
Either. The round runs on both days and day two is the busier of the two. Pick the day that fits the sessions and meetings you want.
Your place in a session is confirmed when the form is in. Until then we cannot place you, so send it as soon as it arrives.
Still deciding?
Three in four people who come leave with follow-ups that matter: a sale, a partnership, an investment or funding.
Thirty minutes with the team answers the rest. Ask anything, from the programme to who else is coming.
Across the table from the people who decide.
