Climb27 · 30 June & 1 July 2027 · The Festival for Business Growth

Scale with the right people in the room

Two days with buyers, investors, advisers and founders at your stage. You book the meetings, the sessions cover what growing companies face now, and you leave with a diary of follow-ups.

Live content loads here.

What Climb27 does for a scaling company

Meetings you choose.

Pick the buyers, investors and advisers you want from the attendee list, request meetings before you arrive, and meet them in private bookable meeting spaces on site.

Sessions for where you are.

Reaching new markets, finding talent and leadership, choosing between funding options. Built for companies already trading, not start-up basics.

A stage of your own.

Tell your growth story on the main stage. Speaker applications for Climb27 are open now.

Three things you need

What holds your scaling company back?

  1. 01Buyers you can reach
  2. 02Finding talent and leadership
  3. 03Choosing the right funding

01

Reaching new markets and bigger customers

The top barrier UK scale-ups report is access to markets: getting in front of decision-makers in bigger companies.

Climb27 puts the buyers in the room and gives you the tools to reach them. Corporate partners and procurement teams attend to find suppliers, meet-the-buyer roundtables are curated by sector, and Busk Your Business puts your company in front of the whole floor in ninety seconds.

  • Meet-the-buyer roundtables curated by sector
  • Buyers listed in the attendee list so you can request them
  • Busk Your Business: ninety seconds, a microphone and the floor

Finding talent and leadership

02

Finding talent and leadership

More than half of scale-ups name talent as a barrier, and most want help finding non-executive and fractional leaders.

The fractional leaders, non-executives and the advisers who place them are here, in the roundtables and on the floor. Bring your leadership team and let each of them find their own people.

  • Workshops on hiring and leading at scale
  • Fractional finance, marketing and technology leaders in the room
  • Private bookable meeting spaces for the conversations that need a door

03

Choosing the right funding

Four in ten scale-ups name finance as a barrier. The question is rarely 'can we raise' but 'what should we raise, from whom'.

Angels, funds and lenders attend Climb27 to meet companies, and the Investor Speed Networking round pairs you with investors from your industry for advice before you ever pitch. The sessions on funding options are run by the people who write the cheques.

  • Investor Speed Networking: advice first, pitch later
  • Funding sessions led by active investors and lenders
  • Investors who accept meeting requests through the app

Who's in the room

ClimbUK is for businesses already moving. That shapes who turns up, and what they bring.

Buyers and corporate partners

What they bring
procurement budgets, supply-chain gaps and a brief to find suppliers who can deliver at scale.
What they want
growing companies they can work with this year, not a pitch deck.

Investors

What they bring
an appetite for real deal flow and portfolio experience. They attend to meet companies, not to speak.
What they want
companies already trading, founders they can build a relationship with, and co-investors.

Advisers: legal, finance, growth

What they bring
the hard-won detail on raising, hiring, selling and exporting, shared in roundtables and workshops.
What they want
clients with a live problem and a budget to solve it.

Founders of scaling companies

What they bring
a year of lessons from the same problems you have, learned the expensive way.
What they want
peers to trade notes with, suppliers, hires and the odd co-founder.

Councils, universities and programmes

What they bring
grants, support schemes, research, spinouts and whole cohorts of founders.
What they want
businesses to back, partners to deliver with, and evidence of growth in their patch.

Professional services firms

What they bring
legal, finance, advisory and technology expertise, stands, workshops and roundtables.
What they want
growing companies that need what they do, and firms to bid alongside.

How the two days work

30 June and 1 July 2027.
Doors open at 09:00; the evening runs as late as you do.

1

Before

Your ticket unlocks the ClimbGroup Event App. Build your list of who to meet, request meetings and let the networking tools find the people you should know before you arrive.

2

Day one, 30 June

09:00: the grand opening performance and the headline partner announcements. Then sessions, roundtables and your booked meetings until the evening, when the VIP drinks reception and the ClimbAwards ceremony take over (each with its own ticket).

3

Day two, 1 July

Day one made the introductions; day two closes the deals. Meet-the-buyer roundtables, the business sessions and the follow-up meetings, wrapped up in the after parties with an unmissable Climb27 experience in the evening. Details to be announced soon.

4

After

Three in four people who come leave with follow-ups that matter: a sale, a partnership, an investment or funding. Yours start before you have left the building: every meeting and contact stays in your account, and the after parties finish the conversations the sessions started.

Business with a party. Not a party for business.

The festival aspect came second. ClimbUK grew out of the Investor Ladder events that have run since 2016, where founders and investors met because they had business to do. We are one of the first business festivals in the UK, built around that: the deals, the introductions and the advice come first, and the opening performance, the ClimbAwards, the drinks receptions and the after parties exist because business gets done faster between people who have enjoyed each other's company.

The grand opening

Day one opens on the main stage with a live performance and the headline partner announcements. Nobody is late for this one.

ClimbAwards at the VIP drinks reception

One room, the businesses of the year and the people who back them. The ClimbAwards are handed out inside the VIP drinks reception, and that is the night everyone talks about.

Busk Your Business

Pitch your company to the floor with a microphone and a crowd. Loud, fast and memorable.

Still on the fence?

Two days here puts you in front of people you cannot get to in a normal week: buyers with a brief, investors who came to meet companies, and the advisers who have already solved what you are facing. Chasing those meetings one at a time costs far more than two days, and the follow-ups are booked before you leave.

Please do. The feedback we get most is that there is too much to do, so bring your COO, bring your marketing director, bring your techie. Let each of them go to the sessions built for their job, then reconvene for a debrief in one of the private bookable meeting spaces. Buy four or more standard two-day tickets together and 25% comes off.

Climb27's programme is curated to what matters in the weeks before the event, and we publish each session once we are certain the room will benefit from it. Some events lock their agenda years out; by the time the doors open the world has moved. In fast-moving fields like AI, a session planned twelve months ahead teaches what every tool you use already does. We would rather hold the slot and fill it with what you need on the day. Tickets bought now cover the full programme, and the main stage moments are announced as they are confirmed.

Yes, and in three ways. The ClimbGroup Event App has AI built in that suggests who you should meet, and our specialist networking tools find the right person before the event even starts. On the day you meet people through the networking and social events, which year after year are the highest-rated part of ClimbUK and the reason people keep coming back.

There are start-up focused sessions and pitching time, but start-ups are not our bread and butter: ClimbUK is for businesses that are trading and growing. If you want a start-up focused festival we are happy to point you at partners who do it brilliantly, Ideas Fest and Helpbnk among them.

You choose your day when you buy. If the programme makes the other day the better fit, request a switch through your account and the team swaps it.

Still deciding?

Three in four people who come leave with follow-ups that matter: a sale, a partnership, an investment or funding.

Thirty minutes with the team answers the rest. Ask anything, from the programme to who else is coming.
