How to comment or respond to tasks

Use this article when you need to post a follow-up message on a portal-visible task.

Before you start

  • Open My Tasks while signed in to your Climb account.
  • Know the answer or data point the assigner is waiting for before you reply.

Who can do this

Same chatter posting rules as attachments: you must be a follower with log note rights on the task.

Steps

  1. Open the task from /my/tasks.
  2. Read the latest chatter entries so you do not duplicate answers.
  3. Type your update in the composer, referencing ticket/PO numbers inline when helpful.
  4. Attach files if the recipient asked for proof.
  5. Press Send to publish the message to all followers.
  6. Refresh to ensure your entry appears in chronological order.

Check the result

  • Your message is visible to the next reviewer without editing history gaps.

If something does not work

  • If your message disappears, check whether moderation or spam filters blocked URLsโ€”strip suspicious links and resend.
  • If you need an internal-only note, do not use the portal; ask the team to switch to email or Slack for privileged content.
