How to change the title or description of my session
Use this article when you need to edit the title or long description on the Session Proposal form.
Polish pass: align the title with how the session appears on the agenda card—attendees skim titles first.
Before you start
- Open Event Sessions while signed in to your Climb account.
- Have the final session title and description text ready so you can paste or type them in one pass.
Who can do this
Only the portal contact recorded as the proposal owner can load /my/submissions/
; everyone else is redirected to the list.
Steps
- From
Event Sessions
, select
Open
on the proposal you need to edit.
- Scroll to the editable fields beneath the read-only
Status
card.
- Update the
Title
input (required).
- Update the
Description
textarea; content is sanitised server-side when you save.
- Press the primary
Save
button.
- Use
Back
if you only needed to confirm the list, otherwise reload the form to verify the new wording persisted.
Check the result
- After saving, reopening the proposal shows the updated
Title
and
Description
.
- The
Status
card still reflects the organiser-controlled stage (editing text does not automatically move stages).
If something does not work
- If
Save
appears to do nothing, ensure the title field is not empty and retry after a full page refresh.
- If you never reach the form, you are not the owning contact—coordinate with the organiser to transfer ownership or edit inside the back office.
