How to update my Host profile

Use this article when you need to edit the Host Profiles form posted from /my/host/<id>.

Stage-ready: programme photos are separate from `/my/account`—treat them as the public-facing version attendees see.

Before you start

  • Open My Host Profile while signed in to your Climb account.
  • Square headshot and short biography text ready for the programme team.
  • Assistant contact details if someone books on your behalf.

Who can do this

You must be linked to an `event.host` record tied to your portal user; otherwise the list page shows the empty-state message.

Steps

  1. Open Host Profiles (/my/host) and click Edit host profile on the card you need.
  2. Review the Profile Sync card first—leave the switch on if Name, Email, Phone, Job Title, and Photo should mirror /my/account; turn it off to unlock those inputs per the tooltip.
  3. In Contact & Biography, update Biography, LinkedIn URL, and upload a new Photo (Programme Headshot) (square crop + hidden image_original field).
  4. Adjust Assistant / Scheduler (Name, Email, Phone) if someone else handles your diary.
  5. Tick only the Availability windows you can honour—copy warns that unchecking a booked window may notify organisers.
  6. Press the primary Save button at the bottom of event_track_speakers_portal_profile_form, then use Back to return to the list.

Check the result

  • The programme preview card on the right reflects your new biography/photo after save.

If something does not work

  • If core identity fields stay read-only, Profile sync is still enabled—toggle the switch off, save, then edit again.
  • If availability shows No availability windows..., ask organisers to configure windows on the event.
